David Struthers of the ITU EnJustice team attended the Changing Currents Conference at the North Atlantic House in Copenhagen in December.
The conference brought together scientists, social scientists, and policy makers to discuss regional relationships and connections through climate change and geopolitical realignments. A panel debate including Josephine Nymand, director of the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, and a keynote from Kenneth Høegh, Arctic Ambassador for the Kingdom of Denmark, brought out the complex interconnection of North Atlantic economies largely dependent on fishing with climate change-facilitated geopolitical tension in the region.
