Dr. Katarzyna Bogdziewicz

Dr. Katarzyna Bogdziewicz is a Professor of Law at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Law School, specializing in human rights, environmental law, and private international law. She serves as Head of the Human Rights Laboratory at MRU and as Director of the Master’s Program in International Law. From 2020 to 2024, she was Advisor to the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania, where she was responsible for the implementation of international and European Union law and for reporting to human rights institutions. Her academic research focuses on human rights protection, European Union law implementation, and the intersection of law and environmental governance. She has published extensively on topics such as ecosystem services, land use change, nature-based solutions to climate and flood risks, and the legal dimensions of private international law.
